Last day in Barcelona and on to Girona

We had a whole day before catching our plane from Barcelona Girona airport - it wasn’t the time we booked but Ryanair put the flight back by 6 hours. It turned out to be fortuitous as we were able to see part of the Barcelona Annual Hat Parade - Louise told me about it - People seem to really get into the spirit of it.
After that we went on to Girona which was a surprise as we found a largish town with a huge castle - we walked around most of the walls, an old town with interesting little streets. And then off to the airport. We were home about 12.30
It was a great week. We all had a lovely time. I forgot to mention there was a nice pool on the roof of our building which was really freezing but that didn’t deter the girls!
