The Mother continues to be Chief Travel Reporter, in spite of her affliction ...ankle is repairing quite slowly...we are still looking for the " wonder drug" ...maybe Stephen Dank could help....
We have just completed a great week in Blairgowrie with Claire, Andy and Abigail....now we have settled into a first class B and B in Hawick (pronounced Hoik) in the border country of Scotland...at the moment wet wet wet.
I have just copied the Blog in on an email that I sent to some golfers...so it's all about...(you guessed it)...some bits maybe of some interest ...
Not many quirky things to report at the moment...I must be becoming too assimilated...just three little ones....
1. I was told up north by a scot that you should never eat pork in a month without an "r" in the name of the month. Eg July!!!!....he didn't know why
2. I'm puzzled by the numbers of tractors we see on country roads in UK. In Vic it's fairly rare.
They must use a lot of farming contactors who drive from one property to the next. I will have to keep this major issue under review..
3. One Little challenge that hadn't occurred to me before we departed is that of keeping technology batteries charged, particularly when we have to use power point adapters....two mobile phones, two iPads, one laptop and one camera. ..I'm sure we will cope
