Bits n Pieces 1
Hello all
We are on our last day in France and thoroughly enjoyable, incl weather
The Mother/Tina will provide all the detail, so some dot points:
à the raod systems are fantastic. when leaving Aix, in the space of 20 minutes we crossed under or over 4 major freeways and entered or exited 3 others...amazing
à the old adage holds up ...all beer is good but some is better than others ;;even much better....but one has to keep battling on
ç But if you drink out all drink is expensive. 6e ..or 8dollars aust for half litre..about one and half stubbies. But the goog news is drink at home its as cheap as chips ...about 20Aust a slab
ç if hiring a car, best get an auto...changing gears with right hand on top of driving on wrong side of road is a bit testing
ç anotherlong story that I wont go into is that Tom collected a 250 refund from e urail from our LAST TRIP when he came thro Paris airport ????
ç we had a bit of a battle getting water and electricity on the canal, but managed in the finish. One night at a place called St Dominique ??? the mayor arrived at the canal inresponse to a message we left on a phone no to turn on the power for us . He also gave us a receipt for 3 euro from a raffle book ...;things are tuff in outback France
ç finally, can some of you people lift you game in the Karou tipping. last time we looked Tina is leading and she is getting a big head
cheers
Dad/ Tony
PS yesterday we completed our 500,000 step in France...
