What else did we do? Tony tried twice to go on the tour of the beer brewery but it had stopped conducting them for reasons unknown to anyone so while he was doing that I went walking around the city and into the inner suburbs. Oh yes, we did go on a train ride around the town and a boat trip down the river - the latter being a bit underwhelming!
I did have a lovely time walking around the town. There is an historical quarter with medieval and baroque buildings as well as a more modern area with Art Deco buildings. Many churches as Slovenia has always been catholic and many museums and galleries. I visited a few as we had a city pass and I like to make sure I get my money’s worth!
